What we do
Our work in this practice group is structured around the records, deadlines, and decisions involved:
- Timely completion of applicable DIR-3 KYC requirements.
- Verification of director personal and identification details.
- Mobile number and email address verification support.
- Digital Signature Certificate verification and filing assistance.
- Reduced risk of DIN deactivation due to non-filing.
- Accurate maintenance of director information on the MCA database.
- Support for KYC-related corrections and updates.
How the engagement works
DIR-3 KYC is governed by Rule 12A of the Companies (Appointment and Qualification of Directors) Rules, 2014. As per the MCA instruction kit, a person who has been allotted a DIN up to 31 March of a financial year is required to file the DIR-3 KYC webform on or before 30 September of the immediate next financial year to update the latest KYC details. The form may also be used for updating a personal mobile number or email address, subject to the applicable MCA rules and fees. Non-compliance can result in the DIN being marked or deactivated due to non-filing, subject to the applicable MCA process.
Scenario 1: A director has an active DIN and needs to complete the annual DIR-3 KYC requirement.
Scenario 2: A director wants to update the mobile number or email address associated with the MCA database.
Scenario 3: A director’s DIN has been deactivated due to non-filing of DIR-3 KYC and requires assistance with completing the applicable filing.
Scenario 4: A company has multiple directors and wants professional assistance with coordinating annual DIR-3 KYC compliance.
Scenario 5: A director wants to verify that personal details and identification information maintained on the MCA portal are accurate.
