- Detailed review of facts, records, and disputed tax issues.
- Assistance with identifying appropriate grounds of appeal.
- Preparation and compilation of appeal documentation and supporting evidence.
- Assistance throughout GSTAT proceedings.
- Structured presentation of factual and legal arguments.
- Support with subsequent compliance arising from the appellate outcome.
How the engagement works
GSTAT appeals are governed by the applicable provisions of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, corresponding State or Union Territory GST laws, GST Rules, and relevant notifications and procedures relating to appellate proceedings. The right to appeal, prescribed time limits, pre-deposit requirements, grounds of appeal, documents, hearing procedures, and further remedies depend on the nature of the order and the provisions applicable to the specific case. Appeal eligibility and limitation should be reviewed promptly after receipt of the relevant order.
Scenario 1: A taxpayer receives an adverse GST appellate order and wants to challenge the disputed tax demand before the GSTAT.
Scenario 2: A business disputes denial or reversal of substantial input tax credit and seeks appellate relief.
Scenario 3: A taxpayer challenges GST classification, exemption, valuation, or taxability determined in an earlier proceeding.
Scenario 4: A business disputes interest or penalty imposed under a GST order and wants to pursue the available appellate remedy.
Scenario 5: A taxpayer requires professional assistance in preparing and presenting its case before the GST Appellate Tribunal.

Facts & Evidence Analysis
We examine GST returns, books of account, invoices, contracts, reconciliations, correspondence, previous submissions, orders, and other evidence relevant to the dispute.
Grounds of Appeal Preparation
We assist in formulating appropriate grounds of appeal based on the facts, applicable GST provisions, findings in the impugned order, and supporting legal position.
