How the engagement works
ISBN administration in India is governed by the guidelines formulated by the International ISBN Agency and executed by the Raja Rammohun Roy National Agency for ISBN, Ministry of Education, Government of India. Every distinct format or edition of a book (e.g. Paperback, Hardbound, E-pub, PDF) requires a separate ISBN to ensure catalog accuracy.

Yes. Every distinct format or edition of a book (such as Paperback, Hardcover, E-book, or Audiobook) must have its own unique ISBN.
03Who issues ISBNs in India?
In India, ISBNs are issued exclusively by the Raja Rammohun Roy National Agency for ISBN, functioning under the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
04Does getting an ISBN give copyright protection to the author?
